Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Location: Petaluma and greater Sonoma county
Job Type: Part time/ Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Provide ongoing supervision and training to all consultants and tutors.
- Utilize data-driven methods for evaluating client progress and modify treatment plans based on empirical evidence.
- Train consultants and tutors in data tracking methods.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
- Conduct regular client sessions, which may involve travel to clients' homes or schools.
- Maintain sensitive and responsive communication with families and caregivers, respecting diverse cultural backgrounds and family dynamics.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ABA therapy.
Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, with a focus on children and adults with individualized learning needs. Experience in a multidisciplinary team is a plus.
Skills in Behavioral Assessment: Proficiency in conducting comprehensive behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Empathy and Compassion: A strong empathetic and compassionate approach towards clients, with a deep understanding of their unique challenges and needs.
Data-Driven Approach: Ability to utilize data-driven methods for evaluating client progress and making informed decisions about treatment plans.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals, including educators, therapists, and healthcare providers.
Cultural Competency: Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and family dynamics.
